Brief update.
Sep. 25th, 2008 07:45 amI want to update but I am not sure where to start.
Richard already posted about the fun we had the other day but I'll add my .02 ...It was crazy cool. I didn't notice the first police car come in, but the second and third I did along with the neighbor who went tearing past our window at top speed. That was unusual enough that I stood up to look out the window. Then the sirens start, loud ones. Fire engine sirens, and suddenly there are 2 engines right across the street from our house. Something is definitly burning and it doesn't smell like kitchen. Richard was laughing at me taking all this in, when suddenly I hear an ambulance and there are, turning onto our street an ambulance and another fire engine. Here ambulance workers wear this tealy green with stripes of reflective tape and the vehicles themselves have vivid colorings and stripes...It kicked some serious ass. They're well equipped rigs over here, I was impressed. Aparently they had managed to set the divider between the gardens at the house just up the street afire.
I realize that there is a part of me that is scared to death of picking up EMS here. What if they were right and I really do suck at my job? If I can't DO the job, then why bother eh? I don't have a lot of confidence in my abilities, even though I know that I know my stuff. *sigh* I'll get there.
Anyways. You know what I love most about being here? Absolute most? He makes me laugh every day.
Time to go pester boy to get the rest of the way out of bed, as I don't hear him moving. Gleh.
