We had an amusing night last night. Didn't start out that way, but i'm glad it ended that way. I can't remember the last time I laughed this much. He even made me snort. Not fair.

Seriously though, I was trying to explain to him while we were watching View from the Top how odd it is for me to not be spending Christmas with my family. This will be the first time that I've been away for christmas in 24 years. I;ve never decorated a house for christmas essentially by myself. I don't have my christmas stocking (Hell I don't even know where it is). Different. It doesn't feel like MY christmas. [Insert weepy girl here]
His responce to that was "No, its not your christmas, it's our christmas...we'll start making new family traditions" This of course made me smile. He kissed me after that and then laughed. When I asked what he was laughing at he said "I'm Kissing your teeth"

Much hilarity insued after that. I do so love that man.

Christmas

I got several lovely christmas cards. I Got christmas cards! *Celebrates* Oh, in case you didn't know I LOVE getting mail. *nod* One person from work even went to the trouble of looking up my address so he could send me a christmas card. So sweet.

My parents though they baffle me. THey, while trying to bribe me into staying here in the United States which I have NO intention of doing...they purchase for me for Christmas (along with some jewelry that dad has picked up in his travels) a set of very nice, blue suitcases with wheels. I mean you could pack 2 peoples stuff into the bigger one. I am right to be confused. I think.
We had one shining moment in the restaurant when mom was being a pain, but it was otherwise quite the nice visit. If that's how they're going to be then I am pleased to have them in my house. No real guilt trips, just genuine curiosity.

My feelings were only hurt badly once. And that was not even by my parents. I'm not sure that he who hurt my feelings knows that he did or how he did it. Well he does now I guess.

Christmas Eve

Just finished Christmas Eve dinner. I am very happy with it because I love to graze... Mom never puts together anything special on Christmas Eve but the big dinnery thing happens on Christmas Day. We're having turkey...we'll see how that turns out. I LOVE raw vegetables. Especially Broccoli. In general I prefer my vegi's uncooked in any way. Ideally I would pull them out of the ground or off the plant, wash and eat. Mmmm... There's even pineapple! I LOVE pineapple. I was unimpressed with the pomegranite apple cider, it was just a hint too acidic to be tasty. Oh well.

Raw vegis + Cheese/sausage/crackers + Fruit + Cookies = VERY happy Diane

I wish that I had more to wrap and put under the tree this year. Sadly I am still broke and I can't really afford it. It amakes me feel kindof bad that I have nothing to give certain people who have given me gifts. I know what my christmas present is and I know it won't arrive for a while but that is okay with me. More than okay in fact.
