Someday I'm going to do a full study on fighting metabolism.
What I've found with myself is, I think, similar to many. I get done, I'm hungry, I have something to eat but I can't seem to eat much. My theory is the body REALLY WANTS simple sugars and etc. but the stomach is crashed from drinking a lot of fluids. So about 7 or 8 my body wants a full meal. But now I'm a meal behind and have put out many times the normal energy, so about midnight I've got serious munchies for something that isn't sugar.
You might simply be getting a serious crash for not enough blood sugar, and it might be as simple to cure as a 2 AM power bar or something like that.
